Artwork Statement:
I believe that everyone has a beautiful side in them, yet they tend to reject that truth. I was one of them too, until I recognized that being beautiful on the outside doesn't mean anything. It's what's on the inside that counts. For this abstract artwork, I used oil pastels to create my image on a 8.5" x 11" piece of clean, white paper. I started coloring the basic colors first and slowly blending them with other colors to show the direction of where the light is pointing.
